Alongside my passion for embroidery, I am also a devoted cat lover. Stray and shelter cats hold a special place in my heart, and I try to support their health and well-being whenever possible. To contribute meaningfully, a portion of every purchase—whether it’s original art or commissioned work—goes towards the care and upkeep of cats in local shelters, helping them find safe and loving homes.
In this way, my art becomes a little bridge between creativity and compassion, giving these cats a better chance at finding a loving home.

Hi! I am Kavaljit
MEET THE MAKER
My name is Kavaljit Kaur. I am the artist, embroiderer, and the creative force behind KAUR Embroidery. I grew up in a small and beautiful town called Khopoli, at the foothills of the Sahyadris, before settling down in Pune.
In summer 2015, I chose to take a step back from my corporate job at SQ to lean more towards a slow living, at a pace that felt right to me. I took a very short and informal course in Hand embroidery. I would say that my love for hand embroidery was a very gradual and organic process. Eventually, through lots of experimentation, hours of practice & numerous trials and errors, my hand-embroidery skills refined.
Over the next two years, creating artworks for family and friends gave me the confidence to pursue hand embroidery as a full-time profession. After 2 years of research, I identified that there is a significant gap for Value based, High-quality and Premium Hand-embroidered artworks. In 2017, I dove right into the realm of creative business ownership and launched KAUR Embroidery.
By elevating hand embroidery to the status of fine art, I aim to establish a legacy of exclusivity, artistic excellence, and investment-worthy craftsmanship.

Artist Statement
Each piece I create is crafted with the utmost sincerity, infused with positive energy and good vibes.
When an artwork is ready to leave my studio, I prepare it by hand with thoughtful care, sending it out with a piece of my spirit woven within it — ensuring it arrives as more than art, but as a timeless heirloom to be cherished for generations.
