A couple portrait embroidery piece

A Couple (2022)

I think till the end, I wasn't ready to declare that the artwork is finished. I wanted to keep refining endlessly... Until I felt i have done justice to the original photo. A special order for Saudia Airlines hand-stitching a bespoke embroidery piece

Saudia Artwork (2025)

I got the opportunity of creating these artwork pieces for the leadership at Saudia Airlines by a dear friend and an old colleague it wasn’t just an order— Having worked with Singapore Airlines myself, it was a deeply personal experience given my fascination with airline operations.I tried to merge the design of Saudia’s iconic logo with signature motifs found across their branding, stitched with the same care and detail that aviation itself embodies and can be found with their in-house pattern language. It took me almost a month and above to create these pieces. I usually don’t duplicate designs but this had special use and so an exception was made.

The intricate details of this artwork were brought to life over 42 hours of dedicated craftsmanship for an Art educator from France. Each stitch tells a story. Globe on a Strainer hand-stitching a bespoke embroidery piece mixed media

Globe on a Strainer (2021)

This piece began as a challenge. A client who loves experimentation—someone who eventually commissioned thirteen artworks to reflect her personality—asked me to create a 3D map of Europe inside a hoop. My first trials didn’t work as expected. But when you hold on to a problem, your mind keeps working on it in the background. One day, while straining chai in my kitchen, I glanced at the sieve—and instantly, it clicked. The rounded shape mirrored exactly what I needed. The thought was almost playful: why limit myself to hoops?. I pitched the idea to my client, and true to her adventurous spirit, she loved it. I hunted for a larger sieve and finally found an “imli” (tamarind) strainer from a local steel shop. Stitching on stainless steel was far more difficult than working with fabric, but that struggle gave the piece its character. What was never meant to be, became one of my most experimental and rewarding artworks.

Created with a combination of threads, beads, and stones, the piece brings together texture, shine, and intricate detailing. Recreated Vincent Van Gogh hand-stitching a bespoke embroidery piece

Recreated Vincent Van Gogh (2024)

This hand-embroidered portrait is my reinterpretation of Vincent van Gogh’s iconic self-portrait, recreated entirely with needle and thread. Every stitch was carefully layered to capture the painter’s intense gaze, textured brushstroke-like details, and the emotional depth for which he is remembered. The work took 33 hours to complete, transforming van Gogh’s painted strokes into embroidered ones—where threads replace paint, but the spirit of his art remains alive. It is both a tribute to his genius and a reminder of the patience, vulnerability, and passion that connect all forms of artistic expression. I hope no artist ever has to face what Vincent van Gogh went through. In his paintings, he was full of life, yet society only recognized his work financially much later.

Cat Woman (2024)

This portrait is a love story stitched in threads — a woman and her beloved orange cat, who now rests in heaven. It’s more than an artwork; it’s a heartfelt tribute to a connection that transcends time — a lasting way to honor the memory of a beloved companion. The Promise emotional and heart touching hand-stitching a bespoke embroidery piece

The Promise (2024)
